Vigia is a privacy-first Android app that helps detect scams before you trust, click, share information, or pay. It analyzes suspicious calls, messages, links, and social-engineering signals in real time, with sensitive processing performed directly on your device. No account required, no personal data collection, and no invasive tracking. Vigia adds a protective layer to your smartphone, warning you when something doesn’t look right, before a suspicious interaction turns into a costly mistake.
I built Vigia Scam Protection because scammers kept targeting my parents.
A couple of years ago, my siblings and I noticed that they were constantly receiving suspicious calls and messages, including people impersonating family members, asking for money, or pretending to represent banks.
The hardest part wasn't just blocking spam. It was knowing that a convincing message or phone call could make someone we love trust the wrong person at exactly the wrong moment.
I looked for a solution, but I wasn't comfortable sending private calls and messages to the cloud just to determine whether something was suspicious.
So I started building Vigia.
I had three rules:
Protect against suspicious and unfamiliar calls.
Detect risky messages, links and social-engineering patterns.
Keep sensitive analysis on the device, without requiring an account or collecting personal data.
My parents became the first real users.
Over time, Vigia evolved from something I built for my family into a broader protection layer for Android designed to warn people before they trust, click or pay.
Today it can analyze suspicious calls, messages and other risk signals in real time while keeping sensitive processing on the device.
What started as something I built to protect my own family is what I’m sharing with the Product Hunt community today.
Vigia Scam Protection - Stop scams before you trust, click or pay.
I'd especially love feedback from the Product Hunt community on the detection approach, privacy model, and where you think smartphone scam protection should go next.
