VideoFlow Studio is a video agent harness. Run `npx @videoflow/studio`, point it at your site's URL, and a coding agent (Claude Code or Codex) reads what your product does, plans a film, builds it, renders it, and reviews its own cut before handing it back. No templates — the plan comes from your product, not your page's headings. The output is editable: open it in the built-in editor, or just ask for a change in plain English. Open-source rendering engine. Free to start.
tried this with our own site (getdial.ai) expecting the "type your URL, get a video" flow the tagline promises. what actually happens is the web page hands you a terminal command, npx @videoflow/studio --url ..., that runs the whole thing locally through your own Claude Code or Codex subscription. once I understood that, the pitch made a lot more sense: you're not paying for GPU or rendering time, you're paying for the direction and judgment layer on top of a coding agent you already have. the agent did a genuinely good job reading our unusually structured site rather than just templating our page headings, which is the actual hard part of this problem.
What needs improvement
the PH listing itself is the biggest thing to fix. "type your startup URL and get a premium video trailer" reads like a hosted web generator to a first time visitor, and that is not what happens. the actual product, an agent harness you run locally against your own coding tool subscription, is honestly a more interesting pitch than the misleading tagline suggests. leading with that would set expectations right and probably convert better anyway.
vs Alternatives
compared it to just asking Claude Code directly to storyboard and render a launch video from our site, no wrapper needed. the value here is the opinionated pipeline, plan, scenes, voiceover, music, self review, not any capability we lacked otherwise.
