I just used Moonlight last week. I feel some Instagram's motto in this product. Very clear and simple flow with a fast and high quality output video. Merge and trim multiple videos on the same screen is really cool. Hope they will support more things in the futures such as text and sound effects.
the goal of Moonlight is making video editing on mobile easier. You can merge & trim video clips, use professionally inspired filters, precision touch-up adjustments, and add inspiring music to share to the world.
@bentossell what this app does (I am just a user for a week or so) is make it extremely simple to produce a nice video and share it with friends. It has become my go-to video editor. Fantastic idiot-proof UX and very very fast processing.
Hey @bentossell in our experience with our other app (InstaSize), we feel that people want a way to edit videos without requiring much prior knowledge either from a navigational or videography standpoint and make video editing for wider appeal. The ability to trim a video down to the essential part and merge it with another video is very easy in Moonlight. Coupled with adding music, filters, and adjustments, this allows someone without much knowledge to create something pretty amazing quickly. Those who have prior videography knowledge will be quick to find out that merging makes the movie and with transitions coming in the future this will hopefully be part of someone's workflow.

Got your invite to try your app via Twitter and couldn't resist, as I'm a sucker for a good movie editing app. Moonlight is a great start, but until transitions and titles are available, I sadly wouldn't be able to make it my editing app of choice. I will keep an eye on it's progress though as it does show a lot of promise. If you have a beta testing channel I would be happy to help test new features.
@craigcpaterson, thanks so much for your feedback! We'll keep you updated for new features. If you want to join our beta channel, send an email to moonlight@munkee.co.
