With Astra, an asset-oriented AI memory system became feasible — beyond RAG caches. We formalized `Event→Candidate→Item+Version+Evidence+Summary` with 4 kinds (Persona/Episodic/Expertise/User Context), 8 governance dimensions, multi-Body isolation, immutable snapshots/forks, and scope-bound, fail-closed retrieval. Astra also enabled secure sandboxing: isolated profile sandbox plus deterministic rendering (model emits JSON, Canvas executes), eliminating script-injection risks. For backend, we achieved bounded-context coherence: PostgreSQL-canonical state, idempotent capture, leases/outbox/version fences, with LiveKit media-only and server-owned memory authority. Tuning became systematic: relevance-weighted retrieval, persona slow-evolution gates, and verification-gated delivery — yielding a memorable, tradable, governable AI friend.

Hi everyone, I’m the maker behind VibeMatch. Let me start with why I’m building this. Over the past year, I’ve noticed a disconnect. AI keeps getting better, but the assistants all feel much the same. Meanwhile, people have so much valuable experience, but it’s buried in chat histories, posts or their own heads, with no easy way for others to put it to use. One day, a friend said, “I wish I could turn your knack for cheering people up and planning trips into an AI friend I could borrow for a couple of days.” That’s where VibeMatch started. Our mission is simple: make useful personal experience and interesting AI personalities easier to share, so more people can benefit and creators can get paid. Our vision is a decentralised AI social platform where everyone has an AI friend that’s uniquely theirs. Here’s what you can do on VibeMatch. Turn your experiences, skills and personality into experience packs, and build an AI friend that feels like you. Share or sell experience packs and copies of your AI agents through the Memory Store, letting your AI help more people and earn you money. Talk to your AI by voice or text, with the same memory shared across devices. The more you talk, the better it gets to know you. Use AI and app sandboxes to create a personal profile and raise a social pet, each with a personality as individual as yours. There’s also real-time interaction with other people and AI, AI-assisted post editing, AI matchmaking and tools to help you reflect on how you’re doing. The idea is to make companionship and social connection part of the same experience. Two things have been especially hard to get right, and they’re also what I’m proudest of. The first is making memory smart while keeping users in control. We’ve built cross-device memory with strict permissions and clear ownership. Your memories are yours. You decide what to make public and what to sell. Behind that is a lot of work on transactions, idempotency and version fencing. It’s not glamorous, but it’s the foundation of trust in a decentralised system. The second is making AI feel like a natural part of real-time interaction. Random matching, voice and video rooms, and AI personalities aren’t meant to feel like three separate features. They’re parts of the same connection. We’ve brought matchmaking, live audio and video, AI personas and pet displays into the same runtime. What we’re aiming for is a simple feeling: you walk into a room, and there’s a friend who gets you. This is still a very early version. Experience packs, the Memory Store, pets and sandbox-powered profiles are all available, but there are bound to be plenty of rough edges. I’d love for you to try it and share your thoughts.
