Vetra is an end-to-end health insurance platform connecting HMOs, healthcare providers, employers, and everyday consumers. HMOs manage operations, claims, providers, enrolment, and analytics from one system, while individuals use the Vetra mobile app to discover, compare, purchase, and manage health insurance plans. By bringing every stakeholder onto one platform, Vetra makes health insurance more accessible, efficient, and transparent across Africa.
One thing that would actually be super helpful is adding a chat or call feature inside the app where you can talk to a real human when sorting out claims. Honestly, dealing with health insurance usually means loads of confusing paperwork, and being able to ping someone directly when you're stuck would save a lot of stress.
Finally tried Vetra and the enrollment flow was surprisingly smooth for a health insurance app. Having HMOs and providers in one place takes a lot of the guesswork out of picking a plan.
honestly the part that stood out was being able to actually compare plans right in the app instead of calling around. for anyone in a market where health insurance feels like a black box, that's a pretty meaningful shift.
Finally tried Vetra and the plan comparison was surprisingly clear, way less confusing than the PDFs I usually get from HMOs here.
