I’m Anto, and I’ve been fascinated by debate for as long as I can remember. There’s something magical about it to be honest. How one idea, challenged and refined, can travel so far beyond its starting point. Debate transcends simple conversation. It’s the root of democracy, a way to not just exchange words, but to build understanding. I really don't feel like social media cacophony, division and war is doing us any good. I hoped to create a positive place for thought leadership and exchange. I created VersyTalks with the hope that it could take ideas to a better place — a space where respectful discussion helps us learn from each other, even when we disagree. A place where conversations can bridge divides, spark curiosity, and make complex topics accessible to everyone. Here’s what we’ve been doing so far: Partnering with nonprofits to run debates that amplify important causes (Food Empowerment Project, Che Café, youth debate programs in Africa, and more) Sponsoring debates by donating funds to the cause being discussed Hosting a “Debater of the Month” award to celebrate people who make online discourse better Building a library of debates on politics, technology, ethics, environment, and culture We want VersyTalks to be where you go when you want to see an issue from every angle — whether it’s Should charities engage in political advocacy? or Is economic growth compatible with environmental sustainability?
