We created the Vcorp project because we were tired of tools that call themselves “private” or “zero-knowledge”, when technically they can access your data if they want to, or if someone forces them to.
Vcorp is a project that aims to create tools that are private by their very design: even if we wanted to, we couldn’t access your data.
For example, a lot of “encrypted” file transfer services generate the key on their servers, so technically they can decrypt your files. With us, the key is generated in your browser, and the file is encrypted there before it leaves. Our server only receives an unreadable block of data, and it’s destroyed after a single download.
Right now we have two tools: one to transfer files in the most private way possible, and one to remove the metadata from your photos, without sending anything to our servers.
The code is open source. We’re really looking forward to your feedback, and we hope the OPSEC community will like it.
