I built VConnect because I wanted true Volvo control from my wrist without constantly pulling out my phone. Existing solutions felt limited, slow, or dependent on mobile interactions, and there wasn’t a dedicated standalone Wear OS experience focused on Volvo owners. As both a Volvo driver and developer, I saw the opportunity to create something faster and more practical: remote start, climate control, lock status, and live GPS tracking directly from a smartwatch. The biggest challenge was making vehicle interactions reliable, fast, and wearable-first—not just shrinking a phone app. The goal was simple: when you’re walking to your car, in winter, or just checking status quickly, your watch should be enough. VConnect is designed to make Volvo ownership more seamless, and this launch is just the beginning. I’d genuinely love feedback from Volvo owners, Wear OS users, and Product Hunt makers.
