Hey PH, I'm Steve, a founder of Val Town 👋 We're really excited to share Val Town with y'all! We believe programming should be fun, and that it's for everyone. We hope to spread the joy of programming, one val at a time! What is Val Town?
What do people make with Val Town? Receive webhooks from Github, Stripe, Clerk, Supabase, anywhere, prototype backends, collect data from forms, poll social media, track prices, air quality, make reservations on Resy, create Discord bots, Slack bots, Telegram bots, email bots, Mastadon bots, Twitter bots, Buesky bots, or even pull Val Town into Google Sheets or Zapier, wherever and whenever you need code running in the cloud. What does it cost? We have a generous free plan, and a $10 per month plan with extra compute and storage Who is it for? If you're learning to code, we hope Val Town can be a place for you too. I used to teach coding to children, and I built this tool for beginners and experienced programmers alike. If you find anything confusing, let us know! If you've tried out Val Town, please share a val you made or any feedback you have! One of our favorite things is shipping new features the same day they're asked for - if we can!

Val town is putting the fun back into coding. You can focus on the fun parts of just making magic happen without all the admin

I've been following Val Town for a long time and it's amazing to see the product grow so fast and get so good. I recommend you to check it out if you have any task you would like to automate and don't want to fall into the https://xkcd.com/1319/ trap. Don't have anything in mind? go and play anyway, you will have some fun and learn something new :)

Playing with val.town I was able to make a bluesky bot (with a cron job that fetches an rss and posts any new message via bsky’s API), and a server-side rendered map, with Observable Plot, of the USGS live earthquake data. Just a few lines of code, zero deployment headaches. Brilliant!

I can't speak highly enough of Valtown. Fun, easy to use, but the composability and advanced features like the key/value stores make it extremely powerful. plus Steve & the team are super responsive & open to feedback

val town is absolutely the next level of writing JavaScript! The val reference reminds me of the genius idea of HTML's hyperlink when I first opened a web page.

@ije wow, such high praise! We're such a fan of your esh.sh project, it's used in hundreds of vals!
