Hello Product Hunt Community 👋 I’m Nick, founder of UX Dictionary. Let’s talk UX. UX is important. If used right, it can have a positive impact on your SaaS. That’s something most of us agree on. Yet, at the same time, it can be confusing. We talk about UI, UX, and product design. Low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes. The list goes on. UX is meant to make things easier, but it sometimes makes things more confusing. And that’s where UX Dictionary comes in 👏 UX Dictionary is a community-driven resource that helps you better understand UX. You can be a founder that wants to improve the UX of your SaaS, an aspiring designer, or someone else. UX Dictionary is here for you if you want to learn about UX. --- Here’s a list of UX Dictionary highlights 👇 👨‍👧‍👦 Free to use - UX Dictionary is free for anyone who wants to understand UX better. 🤝 Community-driven - Everyone can contribute and request keywords. The idea is that we work on the dictionary together. Five people agreeing on a definition is more valuable than one designer’s opinion. 🔦 Show highlights for designers and business owners (coming soon) - All you have to do is flip the switch and see the highlights that are relevant to you. This works for aspiring designers and SaaS founders trying to add some UX to their products. ✍️ How does it impact me (coming soon) - Each keyword will include advice and recommended next steps for you to take. It’ll also have a list of useful resources if you want to learn more. --- Follow us on Twitter to stay up-to-date on new features and changes! --- I’m very curious to hear your feedback and suggestions. What features do you need on UX Dictionary to make your UX adventure a success? Please let me know. Let’s make this community-driven UX dictionary a success. Together! 💪

@toolboxofdesign I loved your dictionary and have a few ideas that you could add, I've recorded it and tagged you in our launch, because I can't post external links on your launch page. Anyways, I wanted to record my reaction and support you because I want you to feel motivated enough to develop this UX Dictionary further!
Nick @ The Designer’s Toolbox
@dan_yes Will take a look. Thanks!

It's really useful - I can see myself linking these to my current clients. Do you plan to release some community-based features later?
Nick @ The Designer’s Toolbox
@fannicsincsak Hey Fanny! Yes, at this moment, everyone can contribute to keywords. In the future, I'm planning on adding a 'Agree/disagree with this definition' feature. That way, you can see if a definition is agree'd on by the community or just one person's opinion. What do you think about that? What would you like to see?
Arron Taylor
@toolboxofdesign love that idea of agree/disagree with a definition. I could imagine that would bring similar value as upvotes on stackoverflow. Great idea here man! I’ll be bookmarking and revisiting often 🙌

@toolboxofdesign Let me give you an example: I remember having a conversation with one of my colleagues recently. We were discussing what exactly we mean under high-fidelity wireframes. It was a pretty long conversation as we had different opinions and experiences. Based on that, it would be great if users could leave comments under the different items/keywords/terms. At least, I would probably do that. Also, when working on UX-based projects, it's really useful if some sites (e.g., ScienceDirect) give me an outline of the most important articles on the topic. Most of the time, they do this in 2 separate ways: - they give a simple list of the recommended articles (author, title, year) - they give something like this: https://www.sciencedirect.com/to... So for me, something like that would be helpful, too - if users could link related articles. Or at least to offer the author an option to link an article, so it would be transparent where the definition comes from. I would most probably cite the site as a secondary reference. I hope some of those will be useful! :)

@fannicsincsak I completely agree with this, Fanni. Thanks so much! I will work on including something like this in the near future! :)
