We should start a class action suit agaonst this group and everyone should get back the money they stole. Any laywers on this site. This is a scam. Ordered masks at the height of the pandemic. This is how they introduced their product. When people were desperate for protection. Otherwise they would not have recieved this much money. To date never received anything. Try to contact them. Another scam. Stay away. They are a bunch of ripoff artists. They deserve negative stars. You were warned Stay away

I was part of the initial Kickstarter, and I was really looking for PPE that went beyond the simple masks we had at the time. I bought 2, for my wife and I, but by the time it shipped, simpler KN95 masks were available. The UVMasks were too heavy, hard to breathe through, poor sealing, too loud, and sat on the face in a way that made even simple facial expressions disruptive to what face seal was available. The built-in fan, touted as a way to ease breathing, does not appreciably help at all. These units were shipped, and were received. I do not agree that the company "is a scam" but they clearly could not provide a design that provided the feature set they claimed, at a price they could realize an appropriate return on. It's a good idea, but this implementation is just not good enough to use, let alone purchase.

This is such amazing tech. when are you going to ship out the mask?

You pointed the mask has UV-C, right? I am not the expert here, but i have read it somewhere that UV-C has a negative effect on a human. I believe you have thought about it but would like to hear more.

I want the mask but don't like the black color of it, any chance you have other colors?

This is a scam. Waited close to 2 years to get 3 masks and still nothing. They even charged me extra for shipping and accessories several months ago but nothing was ever sent. Customer service responses are sparse but keep making promises they fail on over and over again. This is a scam praying on people in a crisis. UVMask and Kickstarter should be held accountable.

At the time of purchase you could read: "30-day satisfaction guarantee". I have received the product and I am not satisfied and I have requested a return. This is the answer from them: Hi ​xxxxx, We have carefully reviewed your case. However, we are unable to grant you a refund at this stage. We are doing everything we can to solve issues and to continuously try and improve. Kickstarter and Indiegogo are not online stores. Creators and Backers work together to improve the product and make progress. Crowdfunding allows us to take an idea from the drawing board and turn it into something feasible. During the development of such an intricate product there will be ups and downs. This is to be expected, nonetheless we will always put in the effort to try and rectify matters the best we can. Need them to make it fit variations in face sizes! I got a size small but the actual mask was too tall and narrow, getting the large rubber ring wouldn’t change that flaw. I couldn’t wear my glasses with these and couldn’t hear myself think over the two noisy fans that never turn off. Lots of air escaping from all edges as a result. Customer service seems sketchy so far.

@boz_zou When can we get a refund? We have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. You have collected everyone's money, failed all deadlines, and still have not delivered a product that we backed. This thing is impossible to breathe through, the company refuses to refund and literally just ignores my emails. I have been trying to communicate with them for MONTHS. Had given up and then mask arrived and it is worse than expected. It is HUGE, protrudes from your face an unreasonable amount. It is loud, if you smile or speak you break the seal and let unfiltered air in. Additionally, it is very difficult to speak in and your voice will be very muffled. Biggest deal breaker is that it feels like a straw to breathe through. I wear an n95 all day at work and will continue to do so because this thing is a waste of space. Don't be tricked. Don't buy this. If you have already bought it ask for a a refund ( which they will not give you) and then charge back to your credit card company. They don't care about front line workers or keeping you safe. They won't even reply to my emails so this is the only way to help other people avoid this crappy product PROS: filtration CONS: -DIFFICULT TO BREATHE THROUGH - Company is terrible at customer service and pretty much unresponsive, if they do reply, its not helpful -loud -heavy -falls off face -breaks seals -basically un-returnable OVERALL SCORE: 1/10 DO NOT BUY
