Ordinary monitoring pings an address and shows green. Uptimo walks your whole checkout flow in a real browser every five minutes: it logs in, adds to the cart, reaches payment and checks the text you expect to see. When a step fails you get a video, a screenshot of that step and the full HAR file, recorded only on failure. Steps are picked from a list, so no code is involved. Servers and data stay in the EU. Free plan available.
Hi Product Hunt,
We built Uptimo after one observation that kept repeating: shops and SaaS apps rarely go down as a whole. One step breaks. The payment gateway stops answering, the cart stops recalculating shipping, the order form starts returning an error. The homepage shows green the entire time, the ping monitor sends no alert, and the first person who notices is a customer who wanted to pay.
So Uptimo checks the process, not the address. A scenario runs in a real browser: it opens the page, clicks, fills in fields, waits for an element and reads the text you told it to expect. Steps are picked from a list, so no code is involved. You can also describe the path in plain sentences and our scenario creator will run them on your site and show you the result of every step with a screenshot, before anything is saved.
When a run fails, you get the material instead of a guessing game: a video of the run, a screenshot of each step and the full HAR file with every network request. It is recorded only on failure and kept for 14 days. The HAR is saved without response bodies, so diagnostics never become a copy of your data.
Three things we would rather say ourselves than have you find out later. Checks run from one location in the European Union today, so a failure visible only to one operator can look healthy from there. Browser scenarios run every five minutes in every plan, and that floor does not move with the price, because each run is a full browser pass. There is no public status page yet, it is on the roadmap.
Servers and data are in Warsaw, on OVHcloud, which matters if the GDPR question lands on your desk. The free Solo plan covers HTTP, DNS, ping, TCP and certificate checks and stays free. Scenarios start on the paid plans.
We are here all day. Ask us anything, especially the awkward questions.
