Hi Product Hunt, I'm Deepak, the maker of Unwatch.
I kept falling into tutorial hell: 10-hour playlists on C++, DevOps and GATE prep, played at 2x, and nothing stuck. Summarisers didn't help, because they drop the code and the worked examples, which are the whole point of a tutorial.
So Unwatch writes a lesson from the video instead of a summary:
⢠Learn: keeps every concept and example, removes intros and filler
⢠Read: the full explanation as text
⢠Quick: short revision notes
It shapes the lesson to the video type. Coding videos keep the code and explain it, and exam videos get practice questions and revision points. When the screen matters, it looks at the video itself, not just the captions. Every section has a timestamp that jumps back to that moment.
Playlists convert only the videos you click, so you don't waste hours on ones you skip.
From my tests on 11 videos, a Learn lesson takes about 43% of the video's length to read (range 12ā75%). Quick notes take 7ā15%. That's a small sample, and long messy lectures are still the hardest case. There's a "report a problem" button and I read every report.
I'd love to know two things: is Learn vs Read vs Quick clear from the landing page, and what would make you trust a generated lesson enough to study from it?
