When you copy or share a post, X adds ?s=, t= and a= codes: which app you used plus a share token. Unsnitch removes them automatically. Open source, ~80-line core, zero dependencies, no network requests, no data collected. Chrome, Firefox, iPhone, Android.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Meriç. This week half of X noticed that every copied post link now ends with something like ?a=Kq3vX9mPzR2tLw8nYb4c&s=19, and everyone's advice was "delete everything after the ?". Nobody does that every time.
s is a code for the app you shared from. t and the newer a are share tokens, widely reported to be tied to the account that shared. None of it is needed to open the post.
So I built Unsnitch, a tiny tool that removes those codes the moment you copy or share:
✂️ Works with X's own Copy link button, Ctrl/⌘+C, drag & drop and the Share sheet
🧭 Cleans the address bar too
🖱️ Right-click → "Copy clean link"
📱 iPhone: a one-tap Shortcut (Share → Unsnitch). Android: an installable web app in your share menu
I wanted a privacy tool that's obviously not tracking you itself: zero network requests, zero dependencies, 3 permissions. The cleaning logic is ~80 lines you can read on GitHub.
It's free and MIT-licensed. Feedback welcome, and if you know other sites that do this (Instagram igsh, YouTube si…), contributions are very welcome 🙏
