Unpixelate an image free, online, no credit card required. Upload JPG, PNG or WEBP for a sharper result in seconds. AI estimates detail, not a factual restore.
Hey PH! 👋
I'm the maker of Unpixelate — here's why I built it.
The idea came from a frustration we've all had: you take a screenshot of something important, or a photo gets sent through a messaging app, and by the time it reaches you it's a pixelated mess. Text is unreadable, details are gone. I kept wondering why I couldn't just... fix it. But every tool I found was a paid download, hidden behind a signup wall, or a full-blown editor where fixing one image takes ten steps.
So I built the tool I wanted: open the site, drop in a JPG, PNG or WEBP, and get a sharper result in seconds. No account, no credit card, no watermark, nothing to install — it runs right in your browser.
One thing I want to be upfront about: the AI doesn't do a factual restore. It estimates the missing detail — so results are a smart reconstruction, not magic time travel. But for pixelated screenshots, compressed images, and photos that just need to look sharp again, the difference is night and day.
Since the first version, I've kept refining it around what people actually ask for most: unblurring text in images, fixing degraded screenshots, and rescuing photos that got compressed when sent.
I'd love your feedback — try it with your worst blurry image and tell me how it did. What other scenarios should I tackle next? Ask me anything! 🙏
