Unit is a note-taking app built for iOS. Everything is a modular block - notes, to-dos, voice recordings, files, web bookmarks - that you can mix, nest, and rearrange however you want. Drag & drop, native gestures, cloud sync, works offline. Unit 2 is the biggest update in our history: redesigned interface, new swipe-to-search, enhanced to-do system, new block types, better performance, and full iOS 26 & Liquid Glass support. Simpler than Notion. More flexible than Apple Notes.

Hey PH! 👋
Unit is a note-taking app for iOS. I know, I know - the world doesn't exactly have a shortage of those. But just give me a minute.
We first released Unit back in 2018. Since then as indy devs we've been quietly building it for people who want something simpler than Notion but more flexible than Apple Notes. A really good iOS app that works the way your iPhone works. Gestures, drag & drop, everything feels native.
The idea behind Unit is simple from the very beginning - everything is a block. A note, a to-do, a voice recording, a file, a saved web page - they're all independent pieces you can mix, nest, and rearrange however you want. You can put notes inside other notes or link them between each other. Drag things around until your structure makes sense to you. There's a Magic Plus button that lets you drop new content anywhere with a tap. Everything syncs to the cloud but works fully offline too. It's basically a personal knowledge base that fits in your pocket.
We just shipped Unit 2 - the biggest update we've ever done:
✨ Completely redesigned interface
🔍 New swipe-to-search across all notes
✅ Enhanced to-do system
🧩 New content block types
⚡ Way faster across the board
🎨 Fully adapted for iOS 26 & Liquid Glass
It's not going to disrupt anything. Nobody's raising a Series A for it. It's just a really good place to put your thoughts, and a lot of people have loved using it for years (4.8 on the App Store). This update makes it significantly better.
Also, figured Product Hunt could use some break from AI launches today 😄
