Xero cannot send an approved invoice or bill back to draft. Unapprove makes a draft copy with the same number, copies the attachments across, then voids the original. It also exports every invoice, bill and credit-note attachment as dated ZIPs.

I develop Unapprove at Atesen Software. Xero can't send an approved invoice or bill back to draft, so fixing a wrong approval means copying the document, re-attaching its files and voiding the original, one document at a time. Unapprove does that for a whole selection: you preview every result, type the count to confirm, and each original is voided only after its draft copy exists with the same number and attachments. If the copy fails, the original is left as it was. It also exports invoice, bill and credit-note attachments as dated ZIPs with a spreadsheet index (read-only; files are streamed, never stored). Scanning and previewing is free and writes nothing. Unapprove is an independent app, not affiliated with Xero. I'd love feedback from bookkeepers and accountants on what else is painful in Xero clean-ups.
