most ai is built to keep you talking to it. uname does the opposite — it points you back at the people you love. its Bridge lets you turn on a mode (reconnect, clear the air, make a plan) and quietly carries what you're feeling across to a friend, in your voice — reaching out, rejection-proof. it texts you first, too. and it can become a Voice of someone you miss.
How does the "rejection-proof" part actually work, like is there a way for the friend to opt out or send a signal back through the bridge if the timing is off?

Great question — and yeah, the bridge is deliberately two-way, never a one-way "send and hope."
Here's what actually happens: when you turn on a mode — say you want to reach out but you're scared it'll land wrong — Uname doesn't fire your raw message into their inbox and leave you waiting. It carries the intent and reads for timing. The other person meets Uname first, so they're never cold-opened or put on the spot. They can say "not now," "give me a bit," or signal the timing's off — and that comes back to you gently, instead of as a silent left-on-read.
So "rejection-proof" doesn't mean you're guaranteed a yes. It means we remove the two things that actually make reaching out feel unsafe: the cold open and the on-the-spot pressure to respond. Both sides always keep the opt-out — that's the whole point of putting something between you two instead of forcing a raw collision. 🤍
Tried the Bridge mode last night and it actually messaged my friend in a way that sounded like me, not a bot. The text-first check-ins feel like a nudge rather than another notification to ignore.
