Type Together is a real-time typing race web app where you can improve your typing speed and accuracy while competing with others — no need to sit next to a friend anymore. Instead, join a room, type the same text (generated dynamically using the Gemini API), and race to see who finishes faster! 💨⌨️
I built this entire project from scratch from UI to Backend, inspired by platforms like Ratatype, but I wanted to take it a step further — with live multiplayer, WPM tracking, accuracy calculations and animated UI.
It took some effort to figure out the logic for things like smooth scrolling, real-time syncing, hiding forms during the race, and keeping the UI interactive and dynamic.
