@jeff_palm For example, I definitely will not publish tweet as a post. Posts are more like a gallery. Tweets are relevant day, as well as stories in instagram.

@jeff_palm@realrus I 100% agree, I don't usually post/see tweets on Post. They are mostly on stories.
@realrus@jaserakuly You can publish them as posts or stories. The experience def. could be improved, but you click "More..." then "More..." to get the native share dialog. If fact you can share to where ever you want, the app is somewhat biased to sharing on IG.
In terms of vertical: Are you suggesting the tweet itself be rectangle or the overall image just be rectangle? You could share to stories now and set the background...
@cutlerdave You can now do this on the latest Android version, when the latest iOS version is approved it will have this change, too. Note, on Android you can also share directly from the Twitter app. If you click the share icon, select the Twimmage icon to share with Twimmage.

@sarahcpr@jeff_palm Really simple and could be a great way to create quotes and testimonials quickly - love that we can save to camera roll.
I agree with the comment in the thread about having a vertical option as this could be a good way to add to stories.
Love that we can add a custom background.
I found the desktop tool buggy I am afraid in terms of loading backgrounds and could not see how to add a custom background.
iOS app worked fine - though I found some Twitter accounts did not render. Would love to see specific hex value as an option for a background colour and perhaps even being able to save specific backgrounds.
Might be interesting to have some different and perhaps brush fonts for the Tweets given that Instagram is so visual a platform.

What do you mean by "did not render" on iOS? Could you not see the user's timeline or couldn't see a particular tweet?
Agreed about the desktop version, it's unsupported and doesn't have parity on features.

I hope you will consider enabling the story sized images to be downloaded too and not just shared to IG?
In terms of not rendering - one of my Twitter accounts could be found but the Tweets did not load. I tried to access it a few times and having closed the app too.

Which account? Retweets and tweets with images by default aren't shown in the timeline. Maybe they should be or maybe it should be an option.

@jeff_palm If that were an option it would be great - if not perhaps just put a message in app to say that you can not create images from RT's
In terms of the account it was Twitter/LSInsiders - I mainly RT there so perhaps that is why the account is not rendering?
I love the idea but I could never use the iOS app as it gets stucked for most people I tried to take tweets from. Do you know what is the issue?

I am unable to load my own tweets. I can connect to other accounts via the app, but when I try to load my own, I get that little dial that shows it working, except it never connects. any ideas on how to fix? i’ve tried deleting and redownloading and no luck. thank you!

God, please don't do this. Don't turn Instagram into Twitter -- or worse, Facebook. Instagram is for photos, not text images.

Looks like an effective marketing tool. The Lisa Frank-esque borders are far from "beautiful", but visual customization could be a great asset for branded content. I'd use it. 👍
