Tweakr is a control layer for X that helps you clean up the feed, reduce low-signal content, and tune the timeline around what you actually want to read. It includes focused presets, country and region filters, account-quality controls, reply cleanup, density controls, and optional location context with flags on supported surfaces.
Hey Product Hunt, I’m Rey, the maker behind Tweakr.
The simplest way to describe it is: Tweakr is basically my take on Control Panel for Twitter, but with more tweaks and a stronger focus on shaping X around how you actually want to use it.
I built it because I spend a lot of time on X and got tired of fighting the product just to make the timeline usable. I wanted something that felt more like a real control layer instead of just a random bag of toggles.
So Tweakr became that layer:
• presets for different reading modes like Minimal, Markets, Builders, and News
• country and region filters for the For You feed
• account-quality controls based on follower count and account age
• reply cleanup for low-signal premium replies
• timeline density controls
• optional account-location context with flags on supported surfaces
Current status:
• Chrome version is waiting for approval
• iPhone version is already approved on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tw...
• macOS version is still waiting for review
• I also open sourced the Twitter wrapper version here: https://github.com/ReyML/decent_...
That open-source app is basically a Capacitor wrapper with a bunch of nice tweaks, trying to revive more of the old Twitter feel on iPhone app, not an extension.
If you try Tweakr and something feels off, I want to hear it. The goal is to make X feel sharper, calmer, and more intentional.
Thanks for checking it out.
