👋 Hi Product Hunt!
I'm excited to share **TuxPaint Online**, a browser version of the classic open-source drawing program loved by millions of kids, families, and schools around the world.
The goal was simple: make TuxPaint available instantly, with **no installation or setup**. Using WebAssembly, it runs directly in the browser while keeping the familiar experience of the desktop application.
Some highlights:
* 🎨 Runs entirely in your browser
* ⚡ Fast, desktop-like performance
* 🆓 Free and open source
* 👨🏫 Great for kids, teachers, and creative learning
* 🌍 Works across modern desktop browsers
This project took quite a bit of work to bring a native desktop application to the web while preserving compatibility and performance. I hope it makes TuxPaint more accessible to classrooms, families, and anyone who wants to start drawing with a single click.
I'd really appreciate your feedback:
* How was the performance on your device?
* What features would you like to see next?
* Are there any issues or ideas for improvement?
Thanks for checking it out, and happy drawing! 🎉
notes:TuxPaint Online is an independent web port of the open-source TuxPaint project and is not an official release from the TuxPaint maintainers.

Took this for a quick spin with my niece and she figured out the stamps and magic effects faster than I did. Loved that nothing got installed and her drawings just stayed on the laptop.

honestly this is such a nice throwback for kids, love that nothing leaves the device. one thing though, can you add a simple way to export creations as a video timelapse so little ones can actually watch how they built their drawing step by step

Love that everything stays on-device, no account, no upload, just open and draw. The fact that TuxPaint still feels snappy in the browser is genuinely impressive given how many brushes and stamps it packs in.

Runs smooth right in the browser and the stamps collection is way bigger than I expected. My kid was drawing dinosaurs within seconds of opening it, no install headaches at all.
