Sometimes you’re away and you want to surf the Internet just as if you were at Home, either because some online services are tied to a given Household, or because you’re abroad and can’t access content available back home. TunnelBuddy is very easy to use: start it on 2 computers, share a one-time password, and that’s it. No account creation, no credit card. The app is free and secure (traffic is encrypted end-to-end). I built this for myself and just want to share it with the world!

I’m an expat, and I kept running into the same issue: some services behave differently (or don’t work at all) unless you’re in your usual Household / on your home connection. I wanted a simple way to “be at home” online without a complicated setup involving VPN servers / exit Nodes..., without accounts, and without yet another subscription.
TunnelBuddy is straightforward: run it on the computer at home that’s sharing its connection, and on the computer you’re using away. The home computer shows a one-time password. Enter it on the other computer and you’re connected.
