I never thought I’d build a tuner and metronome app, but here we are. I’m a software engineer by day, and I play instruments as a hobby whenever I find the time.

I’ve mostly used free apps to tune my guitar. Recently, though, I got frustrated with the paywalls and unnecessary ads in the tuner I was using. I figured it was time to try building one myself: something that does its job and lets me get back to playing.

That’s why I created Tuneara, a free tuner and metronome built for uninterrupted practice.

I put care into the design, too. I wanted an app that feels good to use while keeping the essentials simple:

Dedicated tuning modes for guitar, bass, ukulele and violin
A chromatic tuner for individual notes
Clear visual guidance showing whether you’re flat, sharp or in tune
A metronome with tempo and time-signature controls

Tuneara is available for iOS and Android on the App Store and Google Play.
