Tulin

Hi, my name is Alain Bianchini, I’m Swiss and I’m 19 years old, I'm here to introduce a new social app for IOS called Tulin to hopefully get some feedbacks. My opinion is that a new social network should respect the canons of the previous ones and at the same time introduce a simple novelty that goes to meet the unsatisfied requirements of users. Following this idea in general everything that can be done on a social like Instagram can also be done on Tulin (watch posts from the community, take photos and record videos with multiple clips to share, edit your posts, comment, use tags/hashtags, follow your friends and favorite creators, stay up to date with optional push notifications and scan QRCodes to find resources on the platform), while his specialty is challenges. A challenge consists of a set of instructions chosen by its creator, a user who joins it must share a photo/video of him performing those actions. At an abstract level, challenges can be seen as a tag used to link posts. Challenges work in a similar way to hashtags but in a more impactful way as they have associated information and only one challenge can be used per post resulting in better grouping. Over the years there have been many challenges that have become incredibly well known to the general public, for example the: Ice Bucket Challenge, Mannequin Challenge, Flip the Switch, Dolly Patrol Challenge and many others. Although challenges are widely used in major social networks such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, they are not given a central role within them. This creates problems for users: you can’t conveniently find existing challenges and join them, you can’t find posts associated with a challenge, you can’t easily create a new challenge and in no case can you receive credit for it. I created Tulin to solve these problems, I strongly believe that what for now is a niche of challenge creators/participants could become a thriving community. Tulin has the following features focused on challenges: 👑 Discover popular challenges created by our community, see associated posts and join them. 👑 Create new challenges: choose a name, a description, a category and an optional cover. If the challenge you create goes viral, you will be recognized as the sole creator. 👑 When you join a challenge you can nominate up to 4 other users to join the same challenge, then they can accept or deny your nomination. 👑 In addition to the classic type of challenge, there are also sound-challenges and template-challenges on Tulin. A sound-challenge has associated a sound chosen by its creator, when a user joins it he must add that sound to the shared post, this type of challenges have a “TikTok feeling”. A template-challenge has associated an image called template chosen by its creator, when a user joins it he must use that template as a base for a new post (memes are a possible example).
