Hi Product Hunt 👋 Every timer I tried made me stop working to go and use the timer. Open a popup, find the menu bar, switch to a tab. A small errand before the work could start — and the errand was often enough to lose the moment. So Tuckit doesn't have a home of its own. There's a 6px tab on the edge of whatever page you're already reading. Drag it inward and a rope follows your pointer, with stops at 5, 10, 15, 25, 50 and 90 minutes — each one labelled with the time it would actually finish, because the real question is never "how long" but "what time will it be". Let go on the one you want. That's the whole interaction. No fields, no dropdowns, no modal. A few things I cared about getting right: → It keeps running when you close the tab. The timer lives in the extension, not the page, so it survives you moving around. → It can actually close reddit while you focus, and open it again on your break — then send you to the page you were originally trying to reach. This is the thing a menu-bar timer structurally cannot do. → It records planned vs actual. What you asked for, against what you really ran. It's the least flattering number in the app and the one I look at. → Everything stays on your machine. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no servers. It makes no network requests at all. It's free, and the free part isn't a trial. The honest ask: the entire product is one gesture, and I can't judge my own gesture any more.
