Hey everyone! 👋 I built TubeTranscript because I constantly struggled with one simple problem: I learn from YouTube a lot, but I rarely have the time to watch long videos. I needed a fast way to extract the content, take notes, and jump directly to key moments without scrubbing through an hour of footage. Most tools I tried were either slow, inaccurate, full of ads, required sign-ups, or didn’t support timestamps. So I decided to create something I personally wanted to use every day: a clean, fast, no-login, no-noise YouTube transcript generator that works in one click. During development, the project evolved from a basic transcription script into a full platform with AI summaries, editing, timestamps, downloading, and even a Chrome extension for instant access on YouTube. The goal was simple: make video-to-text effortless for students, creators, researchers, and anyone working with information.
