Hey Product Hunt 👋
Thanks for checking out TryOnTools.
This started with a simple, annoying realization: almost every decision about how we look is made from bad information. You pick a tattoo from a flash sheet and hope it works on your arm. You buy the shirt and find out when it shows up. You commit to the hair color and cross your fingers. The gap between "what I imagine" and "what it actually looks like on me" is where all the regret lives.
So we built a set of browser-based AI simulators that close that gap. Upload a selfie, drop in what you're considering, and get a realistic preview of it on you in a few seconds.
Right now there are two tools live:
🖊️ Tattoo Simulator — test placement, size, and style before it's permanent
👕 Virtual Try-On — see how a garment actually fits and drapes on your body
Hair color and glasses simulators are next.
A few things we cared about:
No download — it runs entirely in your browser, desktop or mobile
Free to use for the core tools (paid tiers exist only if you want higher resolution or volume)
Fast enough to iterate — try five tattoo placements or three shirts in the time it'd take to second-guess one
The goal is boring in the best way: fewer returns, fewer regretted purchases, and a lot fewer "well, that's not what I pictured" moments.
Would genuinely love your feedback — what would you want to try on before committing to it? And if you break something, even better. Tell us. 🙏

The tattoo preview looks solid from what I've seen, but it would help a ton if you could adjust the size and placement with simple sliders after the initial render. Right now I had to regenerate the whole image just to nudge it a bit, and the placement ended up slightly off on my arm. Being able to drag and resize directly on the preview would make a big difference before committing to a real tattoo.
Congrats on launching TryOnTools! Make Informed Decisions for your Purchases is a genuinely exciting direction. Cheering you on and wishing you a fantastic launch! 🚀
