Hi Product Hunt, I'm Harry, an iOS engineer who travels solo a lot.
In September 2023 I took my first solo trip, a one-day dash to Nagoya, and the switch flipped. Since then: 10 days in Kyushu, 6 days in Hiroshima and Okayama, 7 days in San'in, 10 days around Nagoya and Ise. Traveling alone means planning everything yourself and keeping track of it on the road, and nothing I tried fit:
Notes, Notion and Google Docs are great for collecting ideas, but a long trip turns into endless scrolling, and on the day you can't jump to "now".
Apple and Google Calendar are great for dragging events around, but every event is an island. There's no place for the train ticket, the souvenir list, or "what else is on the way if I finish early?"
Travel apps from booking companies have nice ideas, but lean toward selling you things.
So I built TripEZGo:
Events on a calendar; the gap between two events is a leg, with travel time estimated and backup departures saved in case you miss one.
Tickets, files and to-dos sit on the event they belong to. New in 1.7: an Overview with one page per day.
Share in from Safari, Maps, Instagram, Threads or Photos, and the title, image and place are filled in. Turn it into an event in one tap.
A map of each day's route, with Japan's convenience stores and drugstores.
Invite companions to plan the same trip, and share locations during it.
Live Activity on the Lock Screen, widgets, and Siri for "what's next?".
On the same Wi-Fi, the AI on your computer can plan the trip and tidy up to-dos, notes and the shopping list.
No sign-up and no server of ours: your trips stay on your device and in your own iCloud, and work offline.
