80 real-life quiz scenarios that teach you unwritten Japanese customs β from train etiquette to onsen culture. Built by a Japanese local who kept seeing tourists stressed out by things no guidebook covers. Free to start. No account needed.

Hey PH! π
I'm a Japanese developer based in Tokyo. I kept seeing videos of tourists saying Japan stressed them out β not because of the language barrier, but because of unwritten cultural rules no guidebook covers.
Things like: Is it OK to slurp noodles? (Yes, loudly.) Can you wear shoes in a temple? (Absolutely not.) What happens if you have a tattoo at an onsen? (You might get turned away.)
So I built Trip to Japan? β 80 quiz scenarios across 7 modules covering everything from train etiquette to temple manners to onsen rules. Each answer explains the "why" behind the culture, not just the "do this, don't do that."
And if the quiz doesn't cover your question, you can "Ask a local" β think of it as having a Japanese friend you can ask anything about customs before your trip.
Free to start, no account needed. Check it out at trip-to-japan.app β and I'd love your feedback, especially if you've been to Japan and have your own "I wish I knew that" moment.
