👋 Hi Product Hunt! I’m the creator of trdim.
A few years ago, when I was single, I spent a lot of time browsing online forums and noticed something interesting: there were tons of personal dating and matchmaking posts written by real people, describing who they are and what they’re looking for in great detail.
As an engineer, my first instinct was to see if I could use software to find better matches across all those posts. But before large language models existed, this quickly became unrealistic — understanding thousands of long, unstructured posts would have required an enormous amount of manual time outside of work.
Later, after I left my job for a while, LLMs became mature enough to solve exactly this kind of problem. They can understand human language, extract meaning, and compare intent at scale. That was the moment trdim became possible.
trdim uses AI to analyze publicly available dating posts, turn unstructured text into structured signals, and match people based on how they actually express themselves — not photos or swipe mechanics.
My hope is simple: to help more people find friends, or even a partner, by discovering the right person hidden somewhere in those forums.
