@pchun218 Thank you Philip :) For now, we have integrated the import feature from SoundCloud only, but pretty soon, as you correctly said, we would be pushing all your favorites from trbble to SoundCloud. Do you think that would be a time saving feature?

@wiredmau5 I think it would be super useful, especially because I use a few different sites to curate music. Not having to re-favorite in multiple sites makes a huge difference. One other thing that I might suggest is utilizing soundcloud's new top charts and pulling that into trbble's discover so that there's always new content to check out. Will be using this for sure, thanks!
@pchun218 Hi Philip. Makes a lot of sense, we will definitely work towards exporting favorites to SoundCloud :) after all, our inherent motto is to save time for our users! Also, Even @etis mentioned something in the lines of surfacing the new top charts/releases! We will definitely look at implementing that in the next release! Thank you so much for all the feedback !
Amazing idea! It's one of those where I've never known I needed it until now. I often skip to 30-60 seconds to see if it takes my fancy then swipe back to the start. Cracking 🤘🏻
@graphicartwork Hi Jake! Stoked to see that you share our vision :) The idea for trbble started exactly because we were tired of sifting through hour long playlists. So we thought, why not present the most engaging part of a song first :) And to leverage human taste/curation, we introduced the up/down votes too :) Let me know if there is any additional feedback you have to share anytime. We are all ears :)
@wiredmau5 Really like the fact i can connect with my soundcloud to give it almost another breathe of life! be interesting to see what happens next. Have you got a 'Tinder' like app on the way for selective genre's when i'm on the go?
@graphicartwork :) We thought SoundCloud import will be a good feature too! We are coming out soon with an app, where you can discover music on the go and can easily filter based on genres :)
Not tinder like, we are leaving that for the couples :)

How does this compare with Spotify's Touch Preview? I'm pretty interested in this space as I wrote a dissertation for my CompSci Masters Degree about creating an algorithm to extract the "best" 30 second audio clip from popular songs. This was back when the iTunes preview function was more popular...
@ausonio Thanks for checking out trbble! The major difference here is that spotify's previews are decided by record labels so every song will have only 1 preview. On trbble, the preview is decided by people, so each track can have multiple previews. It is all dependent on human taste :)

Really diggin the concept here. One question: how do I pronounce trbble? My mouth doesn't seem to like it...
@dancyfits Hey Daniel! It's called tr-i-bble (like these cute animals here from star trek)
though your gif was better :) And thanks for your kind words!
This would have been really helpful for me when I was Music Director at my college radio station. Back in 2006-7 I would get on the order of 40 CD's per day and would need to triage them quickly to know what was good. These were all indie bands too so you had to actually listen to them.
With this potentially, you could cut out that whole process altogether of getting CD's - just let the public review new music and tag the best parts.
Might be worth looking into a "pro" version for radio stations to evaluate new music.
Very cool.
@andrewkemendo Thank you for checking out trbble! As you said, the aim is to let the public decide what the best part of the song is and tag it as a "preview". More so, we think it works for indie bands since people would not mind spending a 30-40 seconds on listening to the best part of their songs and then deciding if they want to listen to the entire song
Congrats guys! Really love the concept - I've been using it for a few days now for discovery mainly and I really love what you've done so far. Love that you can also play the full song!
@alincatalin Firstly a BIG thanks to you for posting us on Product Hunt! And yes we wanted to give the user an option to play the full song without any UGLY redirects, Glad that you found it helpful :)
