`Travelog is an all-in-one travel tracking app that lets you record countries, cities, landmarks, airports, and flights in one place. Unlike traditional travel apps focused on booking, Travelog helps you visualize and relive your journeys through interactive maps, personal stats, and beautiful travel records. Whether you travel casually or chase 100 countries, Travelog turns your adventures into a living world map.`

The app starts really nicely - beautiful UI and a very smooth first impression.
One thing that hurt the onboarding experience for me: while I was selecting the countries I’ve visited during setup, a loud full-screen ad appeared in the middle of the flow. I completely understand the need for ads, and $9.99/year to remove them feels reasonable, but I’d strongly recommend not showing interruptive ads during account setup/onboarding.
That first few minutes is when users are still deciding whether they like the app. Let them finish setting up their profile first, then introduce ads or the upgrade option afterward.
That said, I really like the idea and the overall execution. I’ll continue using it, and I upvoted it here.
@milosmirkovic Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback, Milos — and also for the upvote and kind words about the UI and overall experience.
You’re absolutely right about the onboarding ads. The first few minutes are critical, and interrupting the setup flow with a loud full-screen ad during setup was a mistake on my part. I’ll be changing this so users can complete onboarding first before seeing those ads or upgrade prompts.
Really appreciate you taking the time to explain it so constructively. Glad to hear you’ll keep using the app, and I hope the experience keeps getting better from here.
