I built Traderist to remove the friction between having a trading idea and actually testing it. As a trader, I kept repeating the same loop: write strategy logic, backtest, tweak, rewrite, then re-implement again for live trading. Most tools felt either too rigid or required a lot of setup before you could even see if an idea was worth pursuing. My approach evolved into a single flow: describe the strategy in plain English → backtest it → automate it if it looks promising. Along the way, the biggest learning was balancing flexibility with guardrails — letting users experiment quickly without hiding what’s actually happening under the hood.
