Trade Layout is a no-code algo trading platform for Indian markets Build trading strategies visually without coding, backrest using tick-by-tick historical data, and automate trades through supported brokers. Features include drag-and-drop strategy building, technical indicators, multi-timeframe analysis, options strategies, and automated execution. Test your ideas before risking real capital and make data-driven trading decisions.

What Inspired Me to Build Trade Layout
The idea behind Trade Layout started with a simple question: Why should turning a trading idea into an algorithm be so difficult?
Every trader has ideas.
Some traders use indicators. Others study price action, market structure, Smart Money Concepts, or options strategies. They observe the market, identify patterns, and develop their own rules for entering and exiting trades.
But when they want to automate those ideas, they often face a major challenge.
They need programming skills, must translate their trading logic into code, and then find a way to test whether their strategy would have worked in the past.
Even when they can build a strategy, testing it properly is another challenge.
A strategy might look profitable on a chart but behave very differently when tested against historical market data. Looking only at candle open, high, low, and close prices may also miss important details about how prices evolved within a candle.
I wanted to make this entire process more accessible and accurate
From Trading Idea to Tested Strategy
My vision was to create a platform where traders could visually express their trading logic without being restricted to a few predefined strategy templates.
Instead of writing every rule in code, traders should be able to connect conditions, indicators, entry and exit rules, variables, and actions to build their own strategies.
But visual strategy building alone wasn't enough.
Traders also needed a way to test their ideas against historical data before risking real money.
That is why TradeLayout focuses on more than just building strategies. It brings strategy creation and tick-by-tick backtesting together, helping traders examine how their ideas might have performed under historical market conditions.
The goal is to help traders move from an idea to a testable strategy with greater speed, flexibility, and confidence.
Why I Wanted to Build Something Different
I didn't want TradeLayout to be just another platform where users select a few indicators and choose from predefined rules.
I wanted traders to have the freedom to express their own logic, including complex conditions, multiple timeframes, options strategies, re-entry rules, and position management.
I also wanted to explore a more visual way of programming—one that could make complex logic easier to construct, understand, and eventually work with AI.
For me, the bigger opportunity was to make algorithmic thinking more accessible without taking away the flexibility that serious strategy development requires.
The Vision
A trading idea should be tested, not trusted blindly.
Rather than relying entirely on intuition, online recommendations, or a few successful trades, traders should have a way to translate their ideas into explicit rules and evaluate them against historical data.
TradeLayout aims to help traders build, backtest, refine, and automate their strategies in one environment.
The objective isn't to promise profits or suggest that every strategy will work. No platform can eliminate market risk.
The objective is to give traders better tools to understand their strategies before putting their money at risk.
That is what inspired me to build TradeLayout: making the journey from trading idea to automated, testable strategy simpler, more flexible, and more accessible.
