Maker here. TrackStudio started with a simple annoyance: the trackpad is the best input device on a Mac, and macOS still treats it as a rectangle for moving a pointer.
What it does: left, right, and bottom edges for brightness, volume, and media scrub; four corners for screenshots, Mission Control, new tab, and the like; drawn areas for anything else; a separate layout per app, with a default scene for everything else; haptics that tell you a step happened.
Seven recipes ship with it (Essential, Media, Developer, Designer, Presenter, Minimal, Accessibility), so it is useful in minutes and editable after.
Honest limits: it is not a scripting platform, not a key remapper, not a mouse-button remapper, and not a full window manager. If you want arbitrary automation, BetterTouchTool is deeper.
