Tone Caliper is a photo editor built around an interactive color wheel. Pick colors directly from your photo and move them where you want, then refine the grade with masks, curves, B&W controls, film grain and more. Build looks visually, work with reference images, and import or exportcube LUTs for your video workflow. Available for Windows and macOS.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Tone Caliper because I wanted color grading to feel more direct. Most editors make you think in terms of sliders and individual controls, while I tend to think visually. I see a color in the image and already have an idea of where I want it to go.
That became the central idea behind Tone Caliper: put the colors from your photo on an interactive color wheel, let you pick them directly from the image, and move them where you want.
What started as an experiment around that interaction gradually grew into a much more complete photo editor, with masks, curves, B&W controls, reference images, RAW support, film grain, and LUT import/export for bringing a look into video workflows.
Tone Caliper 1.0 is also a big redesign of the app, and I’ve spent a lot of time refining how all these tools fit around the color wheel without losing the simplicity of the original idea.
I’m building this independently, so I’d genuinely love to hear what you think, especially how the editing workflow feels and where you’d like to see it go next.
