I'm Rafael, an indie maker from the Philippines, and I'm excited to introduce Today View, a tool I created for the Things user community.
I love using Things as my daily task manager, but it has one major downside: it lacks support for non-Apple platforms like Windows or Linux computers. The natural solution would be to use the web and access Things as a web app, but unfortunately, the folks at Cultured Code (the makers of Things) have made it clear that this won't happen anytime soon. Bummer.
A few months ago, I started brainstorming ways to work around this problem, particularly for the most important feature in Things for me: the "⭐️ Today" list of tasks. The Today page is where I track my daily tasks and spend 90% of my time in Things.
Then it dawned on me: What if I could leverage Things' award-winning iOS shortcut support to bridge this gap?
That's how Today View, a browser extension, and its companion iOS shortcut were born. This tools allows you to view your Today list of tasks in your favorite browser, regardless of the platform you're on!
