@bentossell Marni and I made Tit for Tat because one of the most harmful aspects of a long term relationship, particularly once there are kids involved, is mental accounting. You start to keep this running tally of what you did and what the other person didn't do. Over time, your conversations become more about logistics and less about fun. Rather than pretend this dynamic doesn't exist, we wanted to gamify it, and add on a layer of Appreciation. It turns out that being recognized for your contributions in a relationship makes you feel more connected to your partner. And getting things done makes you feel like you've really earned and deserve the fun stuff.
