Given how common this need must be, I anticipated that there would be plenty of high-quality tools available to ease my task. To my surprise, though, there seemed to be no efficient solutions for transcribing content that stretches to an hour, even among paid products, let alone free ones. Then I discovered TinyStudio, the first and only tool that successfully meets my three key criteria: it's user-friendly, provides high-quality transcription, and ideally, it's free.
