Geckoboard is built for a wall-mounted team TV or a shared web dashboard, which is overkill when it's just me checking numbers between tasks. TinyKPI living in the notch on my own machine is a much better fit for a single founder who wants a glance, not a full screen.
Hey PH, I’m Rida, the solo builder behind TinyKPI.
I built it because my business metrics were scattered everywhere,Stripe, PostHog, Clerk, databases...and I wanted the numbers I care about somewhere I could just glance at while working.
So I put them in the MacBook notch.
It’s 100% local, customizable, and this is the very first release.
Would love to hear what you think, what sucks and what you want next.
The notch is a smart spot for this! It's the one strip of screen I never cover with a window. Before I'd buy: can I hold more than one Google Analytics property in there and switch between them? I run a studio, and half the numbers I glance at daily belong to clients rather than to me, so a single-account dashboard wouldn't survive a week here.
@pascalcouturier Hey Pascal, yep, you can do this. TinyKPI support multiple projects, you can create one for each client, connect their Google Analytics property separately, and switch between them whenever you need.
m i understanding your setup Right ?
@ennasryrida Yes thank you!
@pascalcouturier No worries, thanks for asking! 🙌
Hey @ennasryrida! Saw your post on Reddit, congrats. The notch is a smart place for this and I like that the data stays on the machine. I'm on Windows though, any plans to port it there or is it Mac only for good?
@diae Thank Diae, appreciate it! windows is definitely in the plan, just not a top priority right now. i built the mac app natively in swift for best possible UX for mac users, and i’d want to take the same approach with windows rather than just ship a quick port. i’ll keep you posted when we get there! Thanks again :)
