TinyGenerals is a free browser strategy game - no install, no paywall. Multiplayer runs async: submit your turn when you have time, opponents do the same. Playing solo? The AI is genuinely competitive, with scalable difficulty, fog of war, and coordinated attacks that keep you honest. Inspired by Advance Wars and Battle Isle. Actively developed by a solo dev, updated almost daily.

Hey, I'm Tomasz, the solo dev behind TinyGenerals.
I built this because the genre I loved basically disappeared. Async hex strategy - the kind where you submit a turn over morning coffee and check your opponent's move after work - used to exist. Then it quietly died, replaced by mobile games built around loot boxes and spending timers.
I was one of the players left behind. I missed games like Panzer General - the right difficulty, enough complexity to keep you hooked for days, but still something you could pick up and put down. I wanted a game I could play in 30 minutes or 30 days, alone or against people around the world. I wanted a game which is asymmetric - where one or multiple players are in worse spot and have to figure out how to minimize the differences.
So I started building. TinyGenerals runs in your browser today, with mobile and desktop coming later. It's free to play (with support from Patreon/Ko-Fi and paid accounts coming in the future), gets near-daily updates, and real matches are happening right now.
Happy to answer anything about the game, the AI, the map editor, or what it's like shipping a strategy game solo. Ask away.
