@graciousgarg You can use the embed feature to embed the tacos you create to your website. Just click the "< >" button on the bottom right corner of the taco you are interested in adding to your website.
@graciousgarg We are thinking about making custom domains a paid feature though, would that interest you?
Report
@stelabouras How would that work? You adding a 301 redirect to the custom URL?
Report
@stelabouras@graciousgarg No, you'd point a CNAME to us and you'd get a whole hosted TimeTaco instance.

Hello product hunters,
My friend Stelios and I wanted to post some countdowns to events we liked, to get our friends excited about them, but we couldn't find any sites that made that easy. So, we did what any reasonable person would never do, we built our own.
TimeTaco lets you easily create your own, beautiful, embeddable countdowns, with custom backgrounds (or a random, gorgeous Unsplash photo) and in-browser push notifications.
Let us know what you think!

@stavrosk Hey this is really nice, was looking something like this for events and confs!
Of course a little API to POST date and receive and URL would be nice.
In fact, and as usual, when I found something so cool like this I try to create a little script to integrate it.
Report
@alvarezsebastian Hmm yeah, that wouldn't be hard to do. What sort of integration were you thinking of?
Report
@stavrosk Well my job is integrating Slack on my company, so probably something like that.. but I know that at the first stage of a product this isn't a goal, that's why I wrote those proof of concepts.
Report
@alvarezsebastian I like that idea, we might implement a simple API endpoint pretty soon, thanks!
Report
@stavrosk Great!, will subscribe to get updates.
Probably my boss would like to see in action inside Slack.
Again great product!

Love this @stavrosk - thanks for creating it - I actually came across your platform before seeing you here during the week as someone was using your tool.
I would love to see the platform accessed for the creation with a login so that old events can be deleted and also so we can login from different browsers and computers should we want to edit it - I am guessing it remembers the browser you are in as we can edit the content currently
Would be great if the event when shared to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn could appear as a countdown as at the moment it just appears as the image with an overlay across all of it with your logo
I am working on Firefox and can not see the option to change from a 24 clock?
Looking forward to seeing how you further develop the platform.
Report
Hey @krishnade, we're actually developing this right now! We'll probably release it in a few weeks, you'll see it on the site. We don't support 12-hour clocks right now, but we can look into adding that. Thank you!
Report
@stavrosk Thanks coming back to me - I just asked about the 12 hour clock as there is prompt to say there is a 24 hour clock so was expecting it to also offer 12 hours!
Hope you can post an update here when your new features are launched - perhaps you can message those of us who are interested!

Simple design has killed usability. Had I arrived at this page without a description on the previous site I would have no idea what's going on. Not even a small link to an about page.
@tostartafire The "?" is now more prominent ;) Thanks for your feedback Dan!
Report
@stelabouras Ha! I had not seen that until you mentioned it. Thanks.

@timetaco@nanda_kumar3 Hello, unfortunately this video is private and I can't watch it :/ You need to make it public, I think.
Report
@timetaco@stavrosk I changed the privacy setting, now its in public, everyone can watch
Love this, the simplicity is great! It would be cool if I could use a date format that has all days and not months. Top work and love the embed feature.
@craigjbarber Thanks for your feedback Graig! I am interested in why just an all days format is easier to read than X months Y days though. Do you have an example?
