Time to Read Pro is a lightweight Safari extension that calculates how long an article will take to read, so you can decide when to dive in. No copy-pasting, no separate app โ just tap the extension icon and get your reading time instantly.
๐ Hey Product Hunt!
Iโm Aryaman, the developer behind Time to Read Pro.
This started from a simple frustration โ Iโd open an article without knowing if it was a quick 2-minute skim or a full 20-minute deep dive. Sometimes Iโd abandon it halfway through, other times Iโd get pulled into something I didnโt have time for.
So I built Time to Read Pro, a lightweight Safari extension that:
- Instantly calculates how long an article will take to read
- Works right inside Safari on iPhone and iPad (Mac coming soon)!
- Lets you customize your reading speed (words per minute) for accuracy
- Lets you set a minimum article length before it shows a time (to avoid clutter)
- Lets you disable it on sites where itโs not relevant to you
- Requires no copy-paste, no separate app, no fuss
- Is completely private โ no tracking, no analytics, no ads
It just works automatically on any website you visit โ no extra clicks needed.

This is truely awesome! The built-in reading speed customization is such a smart touch โ I always read at different paces depending on the material, so having that control makes it way more accurate. Ngl, kinda solves a *huge* problem for me. How customizable is it for different content types (like PDFs or blog posts with tons of images)?
