Time and Again

Time and Again

Easily keep track of "once in a while" tasks

So many things in life should be done "every once in a while". You know that you need to replace the toothbrush every 90 days, but when is that exactly? Can anyone really keep things like that it in mind? Of course no. That's where "Time and Again" comes in.

Dope idea and slick design!
Oleg Dreyman
@camanjj thank you Cameron!

Like that! Looks as simple as it should be. Are you going to make it for Android?
Oleg Dreyman
@michal_jonca thanks Michaล‚! Yup, put a strong focus on simplicity, so appreciate your comment! I'm not an Android engineer myself, but a friend of mine has a plan to develop an Android version in the future. So I'll let you know if anything!
Michaล‚ Joล„ca
@michal_jonca @olegdreyman sure, let me know!
Fettah
I am already doing this via trello useing auto repeat tasks
Oleg Dreyman
@mhd_fettah good for you! Means that at least that the idea itself is not pointless ๐Ÿ˜… Not sure how auto repeat tasks work in Trello, the advantage of Time and Again is that if you're late for, say, a few days, it will "reset" the clock only after you finish it. Does Trello works that way that too?
Kat Ingalls
@mhd_fettah @olegdreyman Not sure about Trello, but Todoist does exactly this :) For instance, you can set a task's due date as "every! 2 months" and it will repeat every 2 months *from the day on which the task is completed* https://todoist.com/help/article...

@mhd_fettah @olegdreyman @katingalls oh this is cool! Itโ€™s great that there are different tools for this

๐Ÿ… PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH SPECIAL: 40% off ($2.99 vs $4.99 regular price) ๐Ÿ™Œ Hello you wonderful people! I'm Oleg, maker of "Time and Again". Weirdly, this app was inspired by a trip to a dentist. You know how in the end they will give you a new toothbrush, adding "yeah, and make sure to replace this one in about 90 days"? ...Well thanks dentist, but how am I gonna remember that? Are you gonna give me a call? Probably not. So that's how "Time and Again" app was born. You can add any "once in a while" task to a list, and the app will remember when is the next time to do it. Once you mark it as done, the cycle starts again. And then again. And again. And again. Here's what you can use this app for: ๐ŸŒฟ Know when to water your beautiful plants ๐Ÿงน Know when to clean your room ๐Ÿšฐ Know when to replace a toothbrush ๐Ÿ’จ Know when to replace an A/C filter ๐Ÿช’ Know when to replace a razor ...and, well, anything you want or need. really ๐Ÿ“… *Best thing* about this app is the notification system. It was designed to be as non-distracting as possible. On the day when your task is due, you will receive a *silent* notification in the morning with the list of your upcoming tasks, so you'll know exactly what's on your plate for the day! ๐Ÿ’ธ The app is a one-time payment of just $4.99 ($2.99 for a limited time!), because let's be honest, we need more of those. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases. Plain and simple. ๐Ÿ” Privacy: "Time and Again" was built with maximum privacy. No data is ever shared with us or anyone else, and no data is ever uploaded anywhere. The app is completely offline. Let me know if you have any thoughts or feedback for me! It's a pretty small app, so I'm interested to hear if there's anything at all that you're missing. Cheers!

Actually, i think this is a nice idea! Minimalistic interface. Though price is too high for what is does, i think
Oleg Dreyman
@simonblok thanks Simon! I appreciate that you like an idea and an interface, put a lot of effort into it Yup, pricing is always a touch choice, but Iโ€™m really trying to go against the โ€œevery app is $0.99โ€ strategy thatโ€™s killing indies nowadays. I know everyone hates the โ€œcup of coffeeโ€ analogy, but I do think that for many people it will provide at least an equal value to a cup of coffee ๐Ÿ™‚
Simon Blok
@simonblok @olegdreyman Fully understand your choice! Efforts needs to be payed ;-).

Yup, love it. Things like replacing filters for HVAC, water, etc. Replacing running shoes. Etc. Tonnes of usefulness here. I've been mostly using Reminders to deal with this stuff but will have a look at this as a dedicated place to store it all.
Oleg Dreyman
@joshuapinter yesss! You absolutely nailed the uses for it. Surely one can use Reminders for it, but the app is suited for these things better. Let me know if it works for you, and I'm really glad you liked the idea!
