Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Asad Ullah the maker of Tijarah POS.
I built this because I kept watching shop owners in Pakistan run a busy counter with a paper register, a calculator and a WhatsApp chat full of "who owes what." Stock is counted by eye. Credit lives in a khata notebook. At the end of the day nobody is quite sure whether the cash in the drawer is right. Most POS software I looked at was built for another market: English-only, expensive, and it stops working when the internet does.
So Tijarah POS is built around how small businesses here actually work:
Khata is a first-class feature. Pick a customer at checkout, sell on credit, take part-payment later.
It speaks Urdu (and Arabic), right-to-left, not just a translated menu.
It keeps selling offline and syncs when the connection returns.
WhatsApp receipt sharing: one tap sends the receipt image to your customer's chat.
One app, several trades. Choose retail, wholesale, pharmacy, restaurant or services in setup. A restaurant gets tables and a kitchen board; a pharmacy gets batches and expiry alerts; a shop that sells both goods and services can do both.
A phone app for owners who want to check the day's sales from anywhere.
Honest notes: the WhatsApp feature shares the receipt through your phone or WhatsApp Web, so it isn't automatic yet. The mobile app is brand new, and I'm still polishing parts of it.
I'd love your feedback on three things:
If you run a shop, pharmacy or restaurant: what is the one thing your current system gets wrong?
Which local payment option would you most want built into checkout
Is the free plan's limit (products, sales per month) enough to try it for real, or would you want a time-limited trial of everything?
Thank you for looking. I read every comment.
