Hey folks!
Habit tracker apps are a saturated space, but none of them ever quite clicked for me. So I decided to build my own.
For the longest time, I tracked everything on Telegram. I had a message for each month, which I'd edit every day to log various things. It was barebones and tedious, yet I still preferred it to most habit tracker apps because of how much context it preserved.
Most apps show one tracker at a time. And when you view each tracker in isolation, all you see are the days you missed, but not why. With everything in one view, you get that context — I didn't go to the gym that day, but that's because I went for a run instead. But there was no app that offered this, and that’s what led me to build my own.
Introducing Things take time — an iOS app for tracking anything and visualizing everything.
Inspired by the simplicity and context-richness of pen-and-paper notebook trackers, the app centers around a grid that shows you all your trackers side-by-side, month-by-month.
Beyond the grid, the rest of the experience is designed to be just as simple and thoughtful:
Made to feel effortless — Tracking should feel fast, simple, and intuitive.
Understand your patterns — See stats for every tracker to uncover trends and better understand your progress over time.
Private by design — Your data stays on your device or in iCloud. Nothing is collected, and nothing is tracked.
Widgets — Visualize your progress right on your Home Screen.
And there's plenty more to come! After all, good things take time ;) Here’s a little peek at what’s on the roadmap:
Apple Health sync
Improved analytics
More tracker types
Give it a try, and if you do, I’d love to hear what you think! Feedback and suggestions are always welcome.
