Love how clean the no-sign-up approach is. One idea that would make this way more useful for me: add a "switch cost" tag or simple comparison snippet for each tool showing how it differs from the paid alternative it replaces, like feature gaps or migration notes. Would save a ton of research time before committing to try something new.
Finally bookmarked something useful for once. Found three solid open-source replacements for tools I was about to pay for, and the filter by category actually worked the way I expected.
Would love to see a "migrate from" feature where you select a paid tool and it generates a quick checklist for switching to the suggested free alternative, including data export tips and any learning curve notes.
Love that you can filter by license type right in the sidebar, that one click saved me from digging through GitHub readmes. Clean execution for a project this size.
Finally found a solid replacement for a pricey design tool I've been eyeing, and the search was quick with no fluff. Wish I'd stumbled on this sooner.
