I discovered The Sun Exchange while listening to a newly syndicated podcast by Gimlet Media called The Pitch. Listen to the episode here: https://gimletmedia.com/episode/...
The basics of The Sun Exchange: it's about making money with solar power. The current way solar panel sales work is kind of like the mortgage industry, where a company installs and sells a lease to a bank and you pay the bank for a decade or so until the panels are paid off. With The Sun Exchange *you* are the bank. And, you don't have to live in a house or in a well sunned area. For instance, if you live in New York city you probably can't install solar panels on your building or apartment etc.
The Sun Exchange provides a way for anyone to get into the solar energy production business by funding solar panels around the world. Currently, most or all are in Africa. And you get paid by the end user etc. The tech handling payments and what not is on the blockchain.
Sounds really cool! Listen to the podcast mentioned above to hear from the founder.
