The Prompt Lab helps you write better AI prompts before sending them to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or other LLMs. Our prompt linting engine analyzes prompts for clarity, context, constraints, structure, and potential issues, then provides actionable suggestions to improve quality. The goal is simple: fewer retries, more consistent AI responses, and better prompt engineering through intelligent prompt evaluation.
How does the linting engine actually decide what counts as a "potential issue" since so much of prompt quality feels subjective depending on the model you're targeting?

We don't try to judge whether a prompt is "good" or "bad", we just tell you the quality of the prompt based on patterns that are commonly associated with weaker or less reliable prompts. It checks for things like missing context, unclear intent, ambiguous wording, conflicting instructions, missing constraints, and opportunities to make the prompt more specific or structured.
Think of it more like a code linter than an AI grader.
It flags potential issues and offers suggestions, but the final decision always stays with the user.
